The 1 Hotel’s design elevates simplicity. It’s this simple perfection that creates the relaxed and casual environment that has garnered several awards over the years and has redefined luxury for Hospitality. Drawing inspiration from mother nature, we selected materials for their natural beauty and feel. Woods were sourced sustainably, stones were found locally, and botanicals were key to the design. The interiors are sumptuously furnished with deep slipcovered sofas and armchairs, soft drapery, while organic teak root and live edge pieces dually serve as functional tables and sculptures throughout. Architecturally, natural light was maximized throughout the hotel and a massive replanning of the property optimized how the building engages with the city on a macro level and provides the operational efficiencies needed to serve a sprawling property.
